Interesting stuff here. I have seen this kind of thing outside the church. I once worked for a police organisation - at one time it had a lot of rules in a large book which defined everything in the job. It created a culture, where everyone had a clear understanding of expected standards and ethics. This was determined to be too rigid in the modern world (sound familiar?) and so the big book was abolished, with much less definitive guidelines introduced instead and more left to the individual. Result: poor knowledge of the law, leading to poor decisions, loss of culture, decline of law and order and loss of respect for police in a kind of doom loop. I've seen this pattern replicated many times in different areas. While people still remember the old ways, things carry on, but the new people do not get the same training and so do not follow the old rules. This is what seems to have happened after the Council; memory lasted for a while but all the old certainty about the faith was stripped away, and so people lost the patterns of behaviour and belief. Eventually there just seems to be no point to the religion at all. It's sad but there is only one way to fix this; bring those old principles back.
The “gates of hell” should not merely be understood as physical powers or external persecutions, but as the disputations of heretics—organized systems of false reasoning set against divine truth. In Scripture, gates symbolize counsel, authority, and deliberation; they are places where judgments are formed and strategies devised. Thus the gates of hell signify not brute force alone, but the intellectual and spiritual arguments fashioned to oppose God’s revelation. A synthesis intensifies this threat. It is not a single isolated error but a system that gathers many errors into one coherent framework, giving them unity and philosophical depth. Such a synthesis is the most formidable form of heresy ever known because its ultimate fruit is complete apostasy: when the principles by which truth is known are corrupted, the entire structure of faith can gradually collapse.
Pope Pius X warned of precisely such a danger when he condemned Modernism as “the synthesis of all heresies.” Unlike earlier errors that denied particular dogmas, Modernism attacked the foundations of revelation itself, reducing faith to subjective experience and treating doctrine as something that evolves according to the spirit of the age. By dissolving the objectivity and immutability of truth, it opened the way for every teaching to be reinterpreted. In this sense, Modernism stands as the greatest gate hell has advanced: it does not merely contradict doctrine—it undermines the very authority by which doctrine is known and preserved.
Modernism was spread most effectively from the bottom up through religious orders and seminaries, where priests and theologians were formed. Influenced by contemporary philosophy and historical criticism, certain educators began presenting dogma as historically conditioned and mutable rather than as divinely entrusted and unchanging. Over time, these assumptions shaped generations of clergy, embedding ambiguity into preaching, catechesis, and spiritual formation. Finally, the Revolution of 1789 had entered the Vatican. As doctrinal clarity weakened, moral discipline and vigilance eroded. Modernism enabled the sodomitic infiltration of the seminaries and the chanceries as Bella Dodd explained in her public testimony. Your data analysis reflects the seemingly successful outcomes of hell’s new and improved modern gate. Nevertheless, this modernist gate will ultimately turn out to be another Goliath falling at the feet of the David of resurgent post-Conciliar Catholicism that in the future will anathematize the entire Second Vatican Council and restore the monarchical Papacy.
Thank you for your work on this. It may be helpful to know what happened in the Protestant world—especially in the U.S.
There was a second great revolution (the first being the “Reformation”) from the mid-1800 through the mid-1900’s. Key data points are the dates of the “mainline” denominational church splits—"modernist" vs “fundamentalist.” I believe (going from memory here) that the first was in 1880—Episcopalian, I think. One of (if not, the) last major split was Presbyterian, in the late 1930’s I think. It made the front page of the New York Times (if memory serves), because such thing were big news back then.
There were others up through the 1970’s, but I think the big ones occurred 1880-1940. But that only made the revolution official. The academic revolution had to happen sooner.
Protestants split. Catholics don’t. So, the Catholic version of this revolution was “the spirit of Vatican 2”—and the Council itself, of course, which opened the door an invited it inside. So, one might think of what happened in the 1960’s-70’s as the last battle of the Second Modernist Revolution.
These numbers, while interesting, still don't prove correlation. I believe it's all a sign of the times and the modernism that gripped the Church and the world during the 1960s. Throw in the sexual revolution, and nearly every institution went off the rails. The people in the pews were embracing the same modernism as the VII Council Fathers and didn't need a reason to stop attending Mass. I think it's naive to think that but not for VII the churches would be full and we'd have all the vocations we need. Don't get me wrong, the Council harms the Church to this day, and paved the way for synodality.
As Jesus said, "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit." - Mt 7:18
The V2 counter-church, a Judeo-Masonic creation, is the cause of all the decline, as well as the increased influence of Satan in the world because of the widespread loss of sacramental grace in the world.
What's not being said is the level of Pedophilia and homosexuality pervasive in the church prior to V2 became more widely public causing a large rupture of trust of the churches moral authority. And its no wonder the church is speaking out against the current administration's immigration policies. Because without these immigrants who would fill thier churches amd thier coffers. The papacy first needs to heal itself if it hopes to baptize and convert the next generation of Catholics. It has nothing to do with the abandonment of archaic rules it has to do with toleration of bad behavior on the account of bad priests and the failure of the papacy to acknowledge it and protect it rather than condemn it. Allow the return of married clergy and see those statistics change. And if it wasn't for the participation of lay men and women. We wouldn't have parishes or mass attendance! Stop burying your heads im the sand and quit longing for the days of old. It's not returning.!
The pre-V2 Church is the one true Church. We are in the time of the prophesied Great Apostasy.
Besides what we can see, hear & understand about the counterfeit nature of the V2 church, here are a collection of writings worth saving, both prophetic & based on Scripture & Tradition on the Church in the latter days:
I know they occurred, especially by Masonic & Communist infiltrators who were sexual deviants, but also by just homosexuals/bisexuals. But sexual abuse & the creation of a new antichurch under false popes are 2 different things. The false election of John XXIII wass the enabling act for the eclipse of the Church:
Wow! What BS. All those clergy were not Mason's nor Communists! You are deluded and mentally ill. No it was under the Greatest, Silent and Babyboomer generations which allowed these abuses to happen and perpetuated by thier blind obedience. It's GenX and beyond which are reaping the rotten fruit you sowed. Just keep your prayers and opinions to yourself. We'll take it from here.
OK, but as you can see, I didn't say all those clergy were Masons or Communists. But have you heard of Bella Dodd's testimony before Congress in the 1950s? How about Manning Johnson?
Thank you for the great data and analysis. It would be interesting to correlate this data with mainline Protestantism, which also rapidly liberalized in the 1960s. Vatican II seems to have pushed English-speaking Catholics sociologically toward mainline Protestantism. It would also be interesting to correlate with references to Rahner.

Whatever we did that precipitated the collapse must be undone ASAP!

Anyway, just some food for thought.

Are you actually telling me all these abuses didn't occur prior to V2? It was occurring pre V2 but came to light post V2! Educate yourself.

The 2 links there with "1958" in them explain how such a thing could & did happen.
